BALANGA
CATHEDRAL SHRINE OF ST. JOSEPH
- The church was built in 1739, the same year that Balanga, which used to be a visita of Abucay, became an independent mission center.
- It was then placed under the patronage of St. Joseph, Mary's husband.
- The Dominicans continued to maintain and improve the church while it was under their administration.
