Before World War II, there existed a Catholic Chapel in Balibago, initially named LA PURISIMA and later referred to as IMMACULATE CONCEPTION.
It was constructed on the site where the current park of the Balibago Parish Church stands.
Positioned facing the highway, the chapel housed a medium-sized statue of La Purisima, also known as THE LADY MOTHER MOST PURE, at its altar.
