ILAGAN
ST. FERDINAND PARISH CHURCH
- The original church, built around 1696 to 1700, was destroyed by a typhoon in 1866.
- Attempts to enlarge it led to its dismantling by Fr. Pablo Almazan, OP, but it was never rebuilt.
- The newer San Fernando de Cabagan church in Centro Ilagan was initiated in 1777 by Fr. Pedro San Pedro, OP,
- And completed by Fr. Joaquin Sancho, OP, in 1783, featuring some of the region's oldest bells.
