St. Vincent Ferrer Church, established by Belgian missionaries in 1945, was dedicated to the saint on September 22.
It became an independent mission in 1946. After 63 years, the parish was handed over to Fr. Pedro Rulloda.
Repairs began in 1990 but were interrupted by an earthquake.
Despite challenges, the church was rebuilt and rededicated to St. Vincent Ferrer in November 1991.
His feast day is celebrated on April 5th.
